State Supreme Court ends Stork Club picketing in New York
Justice Joseph A Gavagan ordered a temporary injunction ending the two year picketing by cooks and waiters at the Stork Club saying no real labor dispute exists. The action followed the club's firing of a kitchen employee who allegedly tried to recruit for the cooks union Local 8 of the Hotel and Restaurant Employes Union.
