Ministers Wrong, Says Rev Fr Kane
Rev William J Kane of St Johns Catholic church criticizes the County Ministerial Association for opposing Dr Charles F Goodell on the enforcement bill. He argues ministers meddling in politics misjudge the issue and urges public questions to be decided by the people. He cites Frederick temperance vote and notes many ministers are tied to prohibition. He questions motives and urges focus on church duties. The piece also notes a contractor winning two house project and a check without funds case, plus a Commerce Bureau trial of film use to promote foreign trade.
