Powerful sermon by Bishop Baynes in Baltimore church
England’s Right Rev. A Hampton Baynes preached a forceful sermon at Al Baluts church with Bishop Murray and Canon Arrowsmith in attendance. The talk urged unity of Christian purpose, praised Anglo American ties after World War I, and called for shared aims in building Maryland’s new cathedral. Bishop Murray outlined diocese plans, and all three church leaders addressed parishioners and Cathedral League members at events and luncheons.
