Harry Smith dies. longtime educator and community leader
Harry O. Smith 90, of Walkersville, respected educator and judge, died Friday at Glade Valley Nursing Center. He served Frederick County schools 44 years, led multiple high schools, helped integrate and establish Singapore regional high, then became Orphans Court judge in 1974. A respected civic figure, he received multiple honors, born September 28, 1908 in Woodsboro.
