County asks state to widen probe of farm dumping near Libertytown
Frederick County officials urge Maryland Department of Natural Resources to join an inquiry into earth borrow pits on 203 acre Eyler property near Libertytown. The site, operated by C John Eyler, was shut last November for lack of permits and zoning. Officials say materials used may include unsuitable fill and the Hazardous Waste Administration is reviewing possible dumping. no drilling or follow up tests have been ordered yet.
