Working Sunday for utility crews amid sunny repairs

Twenty years ago on March 22 1958 utility crews pressed ahead with storm repairs as weather turned sunny. county roads in isolated areas expected a good share of snowbound dirt routes to be ready for traffic by nightfall. Frederick Memorial Hospital experienced a 48 minute power failure during a major surgery but the operation remained on track. Bnai Brith Frederick lodge held a Past Presidents stag at the Elks Club honoring Alex Smallberg Julius Jacobson and officers were elected. Ballenger Homemakers Club met at Mrs Howard Smiths Buckeystown home with 23 members, a home furnishings demonstration followed.
