Bloodhounds Trail Women’s Torturers in West Virginia

In Wheeling on March 2 a mob of farmers and bloodhounds pursued three men who abducted and bound widow Mrs. Jennie Cook and her companions in her home. They ransacked the place, poured fuel on furniture, and threatened to burn them alive before escaping with $25. The women remained bound and shocked. Mrs. Cook was reported in serious condition.
