House OKs exemption for Brunswick double dipper
The Maryland House endorsed a Brinkley bill to allow Paul Cook to resume work as Brunswick's water quality monitor without pension penalties. The measure creates an exemption in pension law for the retired high school science teacher, who returned to city work in January after a prior retirement. The Senate must weigh the proposal amid concerns over carving out pension exemptions. A hearing date has not been set.
