Damascus man a spry 93 year old trail lover
Harris H. Shettel of Damascus is 93 and active, hiking and leading trail crew work since 1935 with the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. He once supervised 260 miles of Blue Ridge trails and has climbed Mount Baker and hiked Shenandoah. He still travels with neighbors and reads about wilderness. He values Damascus and plans a church reception on March 21.

Bloodmobile visit set for Frederick on March 22
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Frederick Monday March 22 at the Amveta Home Post 2 2 E. South St. donors will be registered from 1 to 6 30 p.m. Both scheduled and walk in donors are needed to ensure the collection. The ongoing need reflects new surgical procedures and cancer treatments. New donors are especially needed to replace those who moved away aged out or can no longer donate. Previous donors should bring their Red Cross donor cards and report any incorrect information to the registrar.
