Telegraphic typesetting speeds up news output
A tele typesetter or TTS, attached to a News-Post tnotype system, scans paper tape from the Associated Press and automatically sets type on a linotype. Tape punched in Baltimore feeds the recipient papers Cumberland to Salisbury, doubling output versus manual typesetting and requiring careful tape handling and machine safeguards.
