Annual Farmers Day at Elon May Draw Hundreds
More than two hundred county farmers are expected to attend Farmers Day at the University of Maryland in College Park on Saturday May 26 with about 260 farmers likely to join. The program includes livestock judging and fitting contests by University animal husbandry students, a horse show, ram sales by the Maryland Sheep Growers Association, ROTC drill, and Prince Georges County graded school athletic events. Reduced B&O Railroad fares and special trains may be provided for distant points. A Kiwanis Club Elwood Farmers Day observance at the Francis Scott Key hotel is noted for today at 12 30 o clock to foster better relations between city men and farmers.
