Verdict awards widow $325 in Gla de Valley case

A jury awarded Mrs Ida Mullen $325 on July 2 in a suit against Glade Valley Council No 412 Jr Order United American Mechanics for a $525 death benefit on her husband Wallace Mullen. The defense argued misalignment between local and national insurance arms and that $200 was already paid to an undertaker, reducing the balance. Attorneys argued the deceased was in good standing and the widow, as beneficiary, is entitled to the full benefit.
