Blue Cross 65 Program To End In Maryland
Maryland Blue Cross and Blue Shield reminds seniors that the annual open enrollment for the 65 program ends March 31. The program targets Marylanders 65 and over not currently with Blue Cross or Blue Shield, while existing members will be auto converted at age 65. The plan combines with Medicare to cover hospital and most medical costs at low cost, with Medicare paying most hospital expenses and 80 percent of medical costs. The 65 program helps pay deductibles and co payments. Nearly 120,000 Marylanders currently hold this protection. Eligible Medicare recipients may enroll by contacting a local Blue Cross and Blue Shield office.
