WLB Expands Jurisdiction Over All Disputes In Steel Industry
The War Labor Board ruled unanimously that it can review any labor dispute affecting war production, including cases involving union shop and security issues. The Inland Steel case, joined by Republic Steel Youngstown Sheet and Tube, seeks an official union shop and wage increases.
