Builder's idea draws top level Reagan team attention
A task force of top level Reagan staffers and cabinet secretaries will review Robert Hilton's proposal for a housing policy. The plan would back small builders to start homes now to meet future demand and curb inflation when rates fall. Beverly Byron backed the approach and urged a workable program from the administration. The group is led by the secretary of housing with members from commerce, labor, agriculture, treasury, Stockman, Baker, and Meese.
