Expanded Soil Bank Proposed to Reach Forty Million Acres
Secretary Sera T Benen said expansion of the soil bank could grow to 40 million acres with broader retirement of farms, tied to price supports and production limits, costing over 5.0 billion yearly versus the present 75 million. The plan arose from a two day National Agricultural Advisory Commission meeting in Washington. Palm Sunday services and juvenile court remarks intersperse the notice.
