Delayed Dual Highway Progress From Frederick To Hagerstown
A long running project to build a dual highway between Frederick and Hagerstown has been repeatedly postponed since 1936. By March 1942 only about four miles of the 22 mile road were paved at the Hagerstown end, with most of the rest in rough, impassable condition during wet seasons.
