Governor Davey and Federal Relief Administrator Harry Hopkins trade sharp accusations as a criminal libel warrant is issued in Columbus New York. Davey accuses Hopkins of corruption in Ohio relief administration amid Roosevelt move to take control of the $8 000 000 monthly relief program. Hopkins had not replied to a telegram from Davey as the warrant was sworn in at New Pee Chi municipal Court.

Wilkes Barre Pa March 18 AP tension pervaded the strike torn Wyoming Valley anthracite field as weekend dynamitings were followed by threats of another walkout. With 29 officers of the United Anthracite Miners of Pennsylvania jailed for contempt of court in connection with the recent strike reports said grievance committers of locals plan to meet to decide on action.
