Agreement Near In Money Crisis
PARIS AP The United States and other Western trading nations show broad agreement to support the dollar and end the international money crisis. The extent of support remains unclear as market conditions and speculation influence actions. The dollar strengthened in Frankfurt Zurich and Milan while Paris held steady. Treasury Secretary Shultz and French Finance Minister D Estaing noted converging views among officials. West German officials said swap arrangements could be used to prevent a dollar drop if needed.

West Patrick zoning debate over downzoning plan in Frederick
Zimmerman defended the 1964 zoning action citing the Land Use Plan adopted March 26 1962 and questioned the accuracy of the later map changes on West Patrick Street detailing R 4 and R 3 designations. Planning consultant Benning urged caution suggesting site plan review and potential rezone from R 3 to R 4. Residents pressed for downzoning while officials split on delaying action and restoring the planning commission’s recommendation after disagreement over an earlier supposed mistake.
