Jealous Man Murders Woman Then Commits Suicide
Last Friday night in a small house at 1216 Fee, southeast Washington, Peter Byas, a 24 year old colored man, shot Annie Breckirs or Blackhus, a 28 year old colored woman, in the left side and left eye, killing her. He then shot himself in the head, dying at Providence hospital. Three families resided there. Byas died four o'clock this morning after being moved to the hospital.
