Missing Garrett County woman Catherine Ford linked to strange calls
Rosalie Ford's 19 year old daughter Catherine Denise Ford vanished after leaving the Old Mill Restaurant on February 17 taking a silver Ford Bronco toward West Virginia. A nationwide search by about 20 officers and volunteers followed. Her burned Bronco was found along the Stony River seven miles southeast of Gorman. Detectives believe a caller posing as a magistrate or officer lured her to meet about an alleged liquor board investigation. The case remains unsolved with a confidential hotline in operation.
