Gaithersburg master plan outlines ring road and zoning shifts
A proposed Gaithersburg master plan sketches a circumferential road around the town within a 12 to 13 square mile impact area and reclassifies zones for industry and commerce. It calls for 1,000 acres of parkland, new school sites, and significant residential changes with predicted 1980 population near 11,000.
