Fire razes farm killing 400 chickens and injuring corn
A fire at Francis L. Harding's property between Poolesville and Beallsville destroyed four hundred two month old chickens and 200 bushels of corn. Estimated loss is $3,000, insured. The blaze, found about 1 a.m. by the Harding family, was halted from reaching a nearby house by the Upper Montgomery County Fire Company which drew water from a nearby creek.

Wedding Party Wrecked At Traffic Light
A double wedding party returning from a nuptial ceremony in Williamsport ran a red signal on East Patrick street Frederick injuring Mrs Paul L Grist. Roy E Ricker of Baltimore failed to stop at the light colliding with Bernard DeWitt Free. Mrs Grist was treated for facial lacerations and discharged. the party continued to Baltimore by bus. Ricker posted 2.50 collateral for running the traffic light. The wreck involved insurance. Later Addivan Hoffman Jr was detained for treatment at a hospital in Martinsburg W Va.
