Lawrence Powers 21 and George Leopold 46 both of Brunswick were convicted of larceny for taking 60 dozen eggs from a B and O Freight Car at Brunswick on November 25. They were sentenced to two years in the House of Correction but placed on probation by Judge Glenn H. Worthington.

Bad Chimney Fire in Frederick Damages None Notable
Friday evening the Junior Fire Company responded to a silent alarm at the home of Charles Wertheimer on West Third Street. The fire, reported around 4:45, burned a chimney and required over twenty minutes to extinguish. Fire officials called it one of the worst chimney fires in Frederick in some time, but no serious damage occurred after chemicals were used.

Remarkable recovery from lockjaw shocks Maryland town
