Schools honor outstanding senior scholars night two

The school system honored more than 350 senior scholars Tuesday at the second night of a two night event. Recognized were students from Gov. Thomas Johnson Singapore and Middletown high schools along with honorees from Frederick Walkersville Catoctin Brunswick and St John’s at Prospect Hall. Dairy price bill dies in Senate committee

Police probe ongoing in Md 20 crash that killed woman

Jefferson Man Dies In Single Vehicle Crash

Dennis Michael McCarthy 54 of Jefferson died in a Tuesday afternoon crash on Md 17 near Harmony Road. His 1984 Nissan 300 ZX left the road, struck an embankment, overturned, and he was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene. State police reported.
