Kangaroo Becomes Spring Ridge Mascot At East Frederick
East Frederick Elementary moves to a new campus, Spring Ridge, as students and staff finish the current building. They held a school election with grades nominating mascots and casting ballots. The kangaroo won over the eagle, bobcat, and dolphin and will appear on banners and shirts. A front hall display tracks construction progress while fifth graders collect old school history and a June 14 reunion is planned for alumni and staff.
