Passenger Train Collides With Engine Injuring Many
Passenger train No 6 eastbound on the Philadelphia and Erie railroad crashed into a light engine near Pittsburg wrecking both engines and jamming cars with force. Among the injured are Miss Hattie Forbes of Albion Katharine Lyons of Corry T B Dempsey of Throopville Marlin Mc Laughlin engineer William McKinley and Jacob Baidensperger firemen and Moran engineer of the light engine. The cause is reported as a stopped watch carried by engineer Moran. Found in Potters Field Savannah: Jacob Zucker reports his son Morris Archer buried after stowaway incident aboard a steamer. The boy’s body was recovered and to be exhumed for burial in New York.
