Library trustees oppose county plan to evaluate director
Frederick County Public Libraries trustees protest a county led plan to rate library director Darrell Batson for performance based pay. Trustee Peter Sacha Jr and others argue the board’s legal autonomy is being infringed by county evaluators alongside other directors funded by the county. The board contends the law places evaluations with the trustees, while county officials say the plan may apply to directors next fiscal year, pending details.
