Dead Rattlesnake Bites Man In Hand
NAPLES Florida AP Deputy Sheriff Bob Alexander is recovering after a dead rattlesnake bit him on the hand. Fellow deputies say Alexander shot the rattlesnake after his dog Flash cornered it. The dog then finished the snake, its head flying off as it bit the deputy. Both were reported doing well in separate hospitals.

Thieves Cause String of Thefts in Frederick City
City police investigate a series of thefts last night and early morning. Five cars were ransacked in Frederick, two buildings entered including Miller Chemical on East South Street. A ring of keys stolen, an amplifier taken from West Frederick Junior High, batteries stolen from two cars, a stereo deck from two cars, with locations in Optimist lot, Broadway, and West South Street.
