Frederick man gets 10 year sentence for assault with intent to rob
Michael Andrew Jesse, 21, of Frederick, pleaded guilty to assault with intent to rob. He was sentenced to 10 years in the state prison with five years suspended. He entered the home of a former girlfriend armed with a knife during a May 11, 1994 incident while an escapee from the detention center. Consecutive sentences for escape and parole violations bring the total to 13 years.

Teens tied to Eldersburg robbery may hail from Frederick
State Police linked three teen suspects to the February 28 raid on Carrolltown Veterinary Hospital in Eldersburg. They stole 15 ketamine bottles and cash, used a ski mask and bandanas, and fled in a late-model black Honda Civic EX. Virginia man jumps to death from Bay Bridge
Natural Resources police continued a search for the body of a 31 year old Herndon Virginia resident who leaped from the Bay Bridge eastbound span. A note was found in his car along with a wallet and license matching a vehicle registration. Authorities contacted his wife and mother as the body has not yet been recovered.

Montgomery County Police described a March 3 home invasion in the 9800 block of Brookridge Court where a man answering the door was forced to the ground and tied with a towel before being struck with a handgun and kicked. Frederick police charged Marcos Centeno Ramos, 22, with assault, battery and weapons counts after a Wednesday morning fight on Waverly Drive. Union Bridge man faces burglary and other charges
A Union Bridge man, Stephen Wayne Kent Jr., 18, was charged by Frederick County deputies with fourth degree burglary destruction of property negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident after an early Thursday incident at 321 Copper Oaks Drive. Deputies found a kicked in door a parked car stuck in a snow embankment and footprints leading to a nearby residence where Kent admitted wrecking his car and entering an empty home to use a phone before fleeing.

Faxon hearing postponed for Sabillasville teen killer case
Franklin County DA says preliminary hearing for 16 year old Clayton Faxon delayed to March 30 at 9 a.m. The suspect and 17 year old Jeremiah Reynolds, both charged as adults with homicide and related crimes, await trial in Franklin County Jail for the December Highs store shooting that killed Gretchen Groff in Blue Ridge Summit.
