Armored truck cash spill ends with $1.2 million found
In San Francisco the Loomis Armored truck shed at least 1.7 million dollars when bags spilled on a Mission District street. A trio including two men and a woman fled with about 500,000 dollars, as bystanders gathered remaining funds. Police said the driver was unaware of the loss until alerted by a motorist.

Fire damages house near Tuscarora in Frederick County
A Frederick County woman escaped injury Monday afternoon as a fire damaged her two story home at 1426 Pleasant View Road near Tuscarora. Investigators say an overloaded electrical circuit caused a short starting in the living room. Firefighters from Carroll Manor and Lucketts, Virginia, fought the blaze for about 10 minutes, leaving fire and heavy smoke damage on the first floor. Neighbor alerted resident Anna R. Thomas, 65.

Police recover stolen property worth over eleven thousand
