Earnhardt wins at Richmond in gripping NASCAR race
Dale Earnhardt battled to a hard won victory at Richmond Fairgrounds Raceway in the Miller High Life 4. Geoff Bodine trailed by about three car lengths as Earnhardt, the defending Winston Cup champion, roared back after a spin earlier in the race. He led 228 of 400 laps, edged Elliott for the lead, and claimed his 22nd career win with an average speed of 81.521 mph amid a major multi car wreck that halted action but left no injuries.
