One million youths to benefit from new CETA job allocations
Secretary of Labor Ray Marshall announced that over a million disadvantaged youths aged 14 through 21 will receive summer jobs under CETA. A total of 706 million dollars is being distributed to 450 state and local prime sponsors to fund about one million positions at the federal minimum wage of 2.85 dollars per hour.
