County Boy and Three Others Die in Hanover Crash
A 1960 automobile carrying five youths from Frederick County collided with a tractor trailer two miles south of Hanover Pennsylvania. Donald Foreman 19 Samuel Butler Jr 21 Gerald Brown 21 and Robert Powell 21, all from Maryland and Pennsylvania towns, died. Clarence Summers 20 of Westminster was seriously injured. Charles Baker 29 of Spring Grove, driver of the truck, suffered chest and ankle injuries. Police believe Butler was the car operator. Powell died at the hospital. Butler and Brown at the scene. Foreman died en route. The car failed to stop at a stop sign and the rig skidded causing extensive damage to both vehicles.
