Blood Call Urges Donations Across United States
Red Cross chairman Roland E Harriman informs Mrs W Jarboe Grove that 1953 saw civilian blood collection reach 145000 pints monthly, plus 167000 pints monthly for defense. Gamma globulin supplies aided a hepatitis threat, valued at 9000000 cases. Frederick county raised 2889 pints and assembled volunteers to donate on demand.
