One Killed Two Hurt As Auto Hits Abutment
A Blue-Lite taxicab driven by James Franklin Dash struck a bridge abutment on Route 340 near Feagaville about 1 am causing fatal injuries to Agnes L. Stoner of 402 North Bentz Street and injuries to Mr and Mrs Atlee Hoff of 40215 North Bentz Street. Dash and two witnesses said speed was about 40 to 45 mph. Stoner died about 15 minutes after the crash. Dash is jailed on a manslaughter charge as investigators from the State Police compile facts. Mrs Hoff and her husband were taken to Frederick City Hospital with concussions and facial injuries. Stoner’s survivors include four children and several siblings. Funeral arrangements will be announced by M A Etchison and Son.
