A Packard belonging to Erwin Kump, Frederick auto dealer, stolen in Frederick, was found in Wilkinsburg after James Speaks of Frederick was arrested for gasoline theft. Also held was Mary Wars, with Speaks, as officers traced the car by license tags and prepared to return them to Frederick. Speaks faces larceny and breaking into the gas tank charges.

Mark H. Shank 43 a former Akron attorney was executed in Arkansas for poisoning a family of four at a San June county picnic in August 1933. He served as a magistrate in Akron and showed calm indifference in the electric chair as five charges were run. Clyde Colley the sole survivor identified him as the man who laced the grape juice.
