Fogle Sentenced In Second Degree Murder Case
James William Fogle received an 18 year sentence after pleading guilty to second degree murder in the pistol slaying of Robert Lee Hamilton at the Green Valley Inn on September 4. Judge Patrick M. Schnauffer described the killing as cold blooded and expressed displeasure at the state’s choice of plea. The defense called the act a reenactment of a TV western while a surprise witness, Mrs. Gene Oden, testified she saw Fogle enter with a gun and threaten others before the shooting. Three men receive suspended sentences in Maryland court
