A Slight Fire at Dr Troxell’s Stable Near Mt St Marys
Last Friday morning smoke issued from Dr J G Troxell’s stable near Mt St Marys College Emmitsburg. Workmen and school children spotted the blaze and notified Troxell. Fire near the mow center was checked with little damage. the stable was uninsured and the cause unknown. Also reported is the death of Geo S Patterson, 76, struck by train wheels while alighting near Rockville. He lived in Washington and had long served in Maryland politics and farming writing.
