Two Held In Auto Sale Fraud Ring Case
A Maryland Alexandria pair, Glen Howard Shillingberg and Velda W Hackman, were sentenced to two to 10 years for a staged car sale scheme in West Virginia and Maryland. They allegedly sold new cars, kept the originals, and obtained duplicate titles to pocket full payments between September 1958 and July 1957 while with a Korner auto firm.
