The frame house caught from the chimney and burned to ashes with medicines library surgical instruments clothing and furniture lost. Losses about 2000 with insurance expired. Mrs George W Rites who kept house for the doctor also lost furniture. Another fire near Uniontown burned a house about 400. An application for Miss Lizzie Nutt appointed at the post office. A negro boy killed a baby in Berlin by striking it with a stick after it pulled his coat.
