Compulsory Electric Inspection Approved in Frederick
The mayor and Board of Aldermen approved a two fold plan for compulsory electrical inspections in Frederick. An agreement with the county to use a county inspection firm was authorized and an ordinance requires inspections by an accredited inspector for all electrical installations and outlets in the city. The fee schedule includes $1 for one to six outlets and higher fees for larger services, with a $13 minimum previously eliminated after review by Ramsburg and Hiltner. The city county agreement retains the Middle Department Inspection Agency of New Jersey to perform inspections and issue certificates of compliance upon request.
