Healing rites by imprisoned medicine man for Chippewa man
The fourth generation Oglala Sioux healer Godfrey Chipps, freed from a Wisconsin prison for a non fatal shooting, led a sweat lodge ceremony at Shakopee on the Minnesota Mille Lacs Indian Reservation to heal Ron Petite, a 44 year old Chippewa hospital patient with leukemia who had undergone chemotherapy. About 45 people attended as Petite’s wife reported brief improvement and Chipps’ mother asserted his power and past cures.

Thatcher cult grows as dolls and impersonators multiply
AP reports Britain’s first female prime minister has inspired a wave of Thatcher merchandise and impersonators. A Avon-based firm markets a full-figure Thatcher doll with May 3 18 on the back. Impersonator Janet Brown and Faith Brown stage acts, while cartoons across London lampoon the PM. The Grantham birthplace may become a high class restaurant.
