Mother Gets New Chance In Juvenile Court
Associate Judge Patrick M. Schnauffer in Frederick Juvenile Court gave a young mother another chance to retain custody of her two daughters amid neglect findings. The court ordered supervision by county probation officer William C. Roderick and noted the children’ s poor living conditions. Earlier, Judge Schnauffer fined Raymond Edward Jones for acts contributing to neglect of a feebleminded daughter, and ordered the child and two other colored children committed to Crownsville State Hospital, with one case later altered after the father offered to take the girl out of state.
