National Park Notes On Bridges And Island Archaeology
The report discusses metal bridges in need of preservation and proposals for an archaeological study of a fourdalos anchored near Virgilius Island at Harpers Ferry. Camp David sits in Catoctin Mountain Park, Frederick County, where the park remains freely accessible. Park officials recently learned the downl funding issue and anticipate fee collection at Antietam and Harpers Ferry traffic. Last year Antietam drew 253,000 visitors with Antietam visitor center activity and dollars to follow this year. Its aim is to balance revenue with preservation, aiding state objectives.
