The Frederick County Young Democrats plan their first organizational meeting of the year at the Jeffersonian Club on Thursday at 8 p.m. They will elect a new club treasurer to replace Robert Meuich and appoint new committee chairs.

City Man Fined For Violations
A 68 year old Frederick man Albert Charles Palmer was convicted in Mag istrate Court of failing to carry a license and running a red light. He was fined 4 dollars for no license and 25 dollars suspended for disobeying a traffic signal. The accident at North Market and West Sixth involved Roy Edgar Wright. Palmer claimed he thought the light was green. witnesses said otherwise. Magistrate Stanley Y Bennett presided.

Montgomery County will host temporary Medicare Alert sites for residents 65 and older or their representatives to consult Social Security representatives about Medicare benefits. Locations include Damascus Elementary March 3 and 4, Montgomery County Agricultural Center March 4, Wheaton High March 7, Rock Terrace High March 9, Northwood High March 14, Leland Junior High March 15, and Sherwood High March 15. Door to door outreach by YWCA Medicare Alert aims to aid application filings before March 31 deadline.

George E. Harsh announces the Interstate Coin Club Ninth Semi annual Show at the Venice Motel Ballroom on Route 40 East. The event runs March 5 from 4 PM to 10 PM and March 6 from 1 PM to 7 PM with free admission. Dealers from Maryland Pennsylvania Virginia New Jersey Ohio and New York will attend representing 32 cities. Collectors from a 212 state area expected.
