Traffic Deaths In January Declined Nationwide
The National Safety Council reports January traffic deaths fell three percent from January 1956 to 2,566. NSC president Ned H Dearborn credits the December “Back the Attack” safety campaign for the drop though month totals depend on mileage data still to come. A two-year rise may be halted as figures suggest improvement.
