GOP upset over naming ex convict to advisory panel
In Rockville the Republican Central Committee protests the appointment of Barry M. Locke to the Upcounty Citizens Advisory Committee. Locke, a Gaithersburg resident, has a past prison record and once worked as an aide to Transportation Secretary Volpe. The panel said his skills and will to serve outweighed concerns about his background.
