The State Roads Commission awarded a $250 715 contract to Sam Finley Inc of Atlanta for widening and resurfacing U S Route 15 from Evergreen Point near Frederick to Lime Kiln, about three miles. Work to start soon, with planned placktopping and smoother curves, plus integration with the Washington National Pike. Also, contractorsThomas Bennett and Hunter will resurface old Route 40 from near Catoctin Country Club to Braddock Mountain, starting after the Fourth of July, with further Route 40 improvements and possible relocation of the divided highway.
