Fireballer Bob Feller scattered eight hits and fanned eight as the Cleveland Indians beat the Detroit Tigers 6 to 2. Hal Newhouser took the loss after seven runs and seven hits in two and two thirds innings. Lew Boudreau led Cleveland with three hits and a first inning homer.
